The simulator allows planning and organization of all (human) resources and equipment (fixed and self-propelled cranes) necessary for the management of a ship arriving at the quay of the port of Antwerp. This aims to facilitate and perform the unloading and loading operations of containers in the time window required by the port’s operations.
The simulated process refers to the task mainly carried out by the Container terminal resource planner.
A manual for use and installation comes with the tool as well as the list of skills and knowledge that can be acquired through its use. Moreover, the tool includes a training manual that provides definitions, terminology, data and information for both contextualize the process and integrate the training content.
