The simulator allows to calculate all costs related to the transport of a container, departing from the Chinese port of Shanghai and destined to the port of Antwerp. Therefore it allows to plan and organize the entire transport chain, taking also into consideration the historical costs of freight and shipping companies. It includes the evaluation over simulated time of any change and adjustment to reduce costs for the company that exports the container and the company that organizes the shipment.
The simulated process refers to the task mainly carried out by the Supply Chain Designer / Planner
A manual for use and installation comes with the tool as well as the list of skills and knowledge that can be acquired through its use. Moreover, the tool includes a training manual that provides definitions, terminology, data and information for both contextualize the process and integrate the training content.
